It&#8217;s a fascinating culture of scantily clad young women with traditional Roman Catholic values and male dominance as breadwinners, as well as prejudice and ostracization by their neighborhoods (the &#8220;country folk&#8221;). Watch it sometime&#8211;I&#8217;m warning you, though, it&#8217;s a mind warp, but still interesting.<\/p>\n<p>On to other things&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span>W<\/span>e made this the other night, and it&#8217;s time to share&#8230;Giada&#8217;s Parmesan Crusted Chicken Tenders. Easy, tasty, versatile. We had this with a side of macaroni &#038; veggies one night, and I&#8217;ve topped a bed of salad mix with a few tenders to make a filling\/healthy lunch the last two days. You can make a sandwich with it, come up with homemade sauces for dipping, the possibilities are endless!<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-u_xukkjnCI4\/Tiuk1C1-cwI\/AAAAAAAAA1g\/5g2sHSFlVaQ\/s1600\/photo-581.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"146\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-u_xukkjnCI4\/Tiuk1C1-cwI\/AAAAAAAAA1g\/5g2sHSFlVaQ\/s320\/photo-581.jpg\" width=\"320\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p><b><span>Parmesan Crusted Chicken Tenders<\/span><\/b><span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><br \/><span><span>from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/giada-de-laurentiis\/crunchy-parmesan-chicken-tenders-recipe\/index.html\">Giada<\/a><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>4 tablespoons plus 1\/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil<br \/>1 cup buttermilk<br \/>2 pounds chicken tenders (about 24 small to medium in size)<br \/>1 cups freshly grated Parmesan<br \/>1 cup Italian-style seasoned bread crumbs<\/p>\n<p>Cut tenders to desired size and place in a large bowl. Pour buttermilk over the chicken and stir a bit. Let soak for 15&#8211;30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-pEdh-CbDQMs\/Tiukzv_oeZI\/AAAAAAAAA1Y\/D-n1YGN0yPQ\/s1600\/photo-579.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"240\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-pEdh-CbDQMs\/Tiukzv_oeZI\/AAAAAAAAA1Y\/D-n1YGN0yPQ\/s320\/photo-579.jpg\" width=\"320\"><\/a>In a large pie pan, combine parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. One by one, roll and press chicken into bread crumb mixture. Arrange breaded chicken onto a cookie sheet lined with foil (or parchment paper). Brush olive oil on the foil before adding chicken. After sheet is full of tenders, drizzle a little extra olive oil on to prevent sticking and keep chicken moist. Yummm.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><span><b>Suggested dips:<\/b><\/span><br \/>Homemade honey mustard<br \/>Barbeque sauce (Laurel&#8217;s)<br \/>Balsamic vinaigrette<br \/>Ranch dip (Matt&#8217;s)<br \/>Honey<br \/>Aioli<br \/>Wasabi ketchup (<i>Ketchup<\/i>-the restaurant-in LA is closed&#8230;we missed the fun dips, but you can prob recreate this one at home)<b><\/b><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-1ViSWLj7SlU\/TiukytcEBQI\/AAAAAAAAA1U\/SfeCwrAF1GE\/s1600\/photo-580.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"240\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-1ViSWLj7SlU\/TiukytcEBQI\/AAAAAAAAA1U\/SfeCwrAF1GE\/s320\/photo-580.jpg\" width=\"320\"><\/a><b>As a bonus, Matt made sweet potato fries for me. Delicious! <\/b>Unfortunately, they were a little browner than I meant&#8230;I left them in the oven too long, against Matt&#8217;s suggestion. Oops. But they were delicious, I do admit.
